Sara is a Partner in our Vancouver office, after having spent a decade practicing with our Team in Toronto, and is called to the Bar in both Provinces.
Sara utilizes efficient, creative and practical solutions to achieve success across a wide range of labour relations matters – including the preparation of employment contracts, interpretation of collective agreement language, policy drafting and implementation, discipline, wrongful dismissal actions and grievance arbitration. In the last year Sara has pivoted her practice to a virtual landscape, and has assisted many of her clients to do the same.
Sara has represented employers before Superior Court, the Canadian Industrial Relations Board, various provincial and federal Human Rights Tribunals, as well as in Workplace Safety and Insurance matters. She frequently represents employers at the bargaining table, both in the private and public sector, including within the not-for-profit sector. Sara is counsel to both provincially and federally regulated employers in a wide range of industries and sectors. In addition, Sara frequently speaks at professional conferences and provides in-house training sessions.
Sara is often retained to share her expertise in the area of workplace harassment, including sexual harassment. In this regard, Sara is regularly retained to conduct and advise on the conducting of workplace investigations.
