Profile

Nicole is an Associate at the Firm’s Toronto office. Her expertise extends to various facets of education, labour and employment law, with a focus on crisis management for institutional employers, such as school boards, municipalities, police services and hospitals. Nicole is experienced in workplace investigations, incident response and defense, drafting employment contracts and policies, mediation and arbitration, discipline and termination of employment, human rights, and other labour relations matters. Nicole provides pragmatic advice to employers, ensuring that their specific circumstances and issues are taken into consideration in the implementation of successful workplace solutions.

Before joining Mathews Dinsdale, Nicole gained experience at a national full-service law firm in Toronto. She completed her J.D. at the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law, and prior to law school, she achieved an Honours Bachelor of Arts (with High Distinction) in Sociocultural and Linguistic Anthropology from the University of Toronto.

Outside of her professional career, Nicole enjoys learning new languages, travelling in Latin America, playing linguistic board games, and salsa dancing. Nicole is also dedicated to giving back to the community through activities such as mentoring students, donating blood and volunteering on the Board of Directors for a not-for-profit organization called YouthSpeak.
