Toronto and Peel Region Re-entering Ontario’s COVID-19 Response Framework

The Ontario government has announced that Toronto and Peel Region will be re-entering the provinces COVID-19 Response Framework at the grey lockdown level. The current stay-at-home order effecting these two regions will be lifted. In addition, seven other public health regions are being moved to new levels of the COVID-19 Framework. The changes will come into effect on Monday, March 8, 2021 at 12:01 a.m. and will be in force for a minimum of two weeks.

The following changes will be made as of March 8, 2021:

Grey – Lockdown

  • Toronto
  • Peel Region

Red- Control

  • North Bay Parry Sound District
  • Peterborough Public Health
  • Public Health Sudbury and Districts
  • Simcoe-Muskoka District Health Unit

Yellow- Protect

  • Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit
  • Renfrew County and District Health Unit
