Julie is a Partner in Mathews Dinsdale’s Toronto office. She offers practical and proactive advice on a wide range of workplace issues including workplace safety and insurance, discipline and discharge, occupational health and safety, and human rights.
Julie received her Juris Doctor from the University of Western Ontario. During her time at Western, Julie was an active member on the executive committee of the Labour Law Society, and won Western’s Negotiation Competition. Throughout law school she cultivated an interest in international labour matters by completing an internship at the International Labour Organization in Geneva, Switzerland and obtaining a certificate in International Business Law from EBS University of Business and Law in Wiesbaden, Germany.
Prior to law school, Julie obtained a Master of Industrial Relations and Human Resources degree from the University of Toronto. During this time she conducted research for a government labour organization and worked in the labour relations department of a manufacturing facility. Julie was a summer and articling student with the firm before she returned in 2016 as an Associate.
