Profile

Megan is an articling student and a recent JD graduate of the English Common Law program at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law. Prior to articling, Megan joined the firm as a summer student in our Toronto office.

During law school, Megan was involved with the Women’s Legal Education and Action Fund (LEAF) Ottawa branch as a Workshop Coordinator, through which she facilitated outreach programs to local high schools and lead seminars on topics including workplace rights, consent, and reproductive justice. Megan also participated in an exchange at the University of Puerto Rico for an intensive course on the topic of ‘Courts, Gender and Access to Justice’.

Prior to pursuing her law degree, Megan completed her Bachelor of Arts in Industrial and Labour Relations at McGill University. During that time, she developed an interest in workplace-related client-facing work through her experience in organizational change-management consulting at a Big Four accounting firm.

Following her undergraduate studies, Megan also obtained a Graduate Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution from Humber College. While at Humber, she received a comprehensive education from experienced practitioners on the application of ADR, negotiation, and conflict resolution strategies to a range of practice areas.

In her free time, Megan enjoys downhill skiing, intramural sports, trivia, and word games. Megan is conversationally fluent in Spanish and is working to improve her skills with Spanish Netflix series.
