Profile

Bernardo is an Articling Student in our Toronto office and a recent graduate of Western University’s Faculty of Law. Prior to articling, Bernardo was a Summer Student with the Firm.

During law school, Bernardo was actively involved in the Western Law community. He chaired the Obiter Dicta Committee, which raised funds in support of St. Joseph’s Hospice in London, Ontario. He also pursued his interest in advocacy by competing in the Mathews Dinsdale National Labour Arbitration Competition in his second year and later serving as a coach and guest judge for the Lerner’s Cup. Bernardo also mentored first-year law students as they navigated the transition to law school.

Prior to pursuing his Juris Doctor, Bernardo earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Specialized Honours in Music from York University. He spent several years performing and working in the music industry, an experience that gave him insight into workplace relationships and contributed to his interest in labour and employment law. Bernardo is also fluent in Portuguese, reflecting the diverse background and experiences he brings to his work.
