Amanda is an Associate and a cum laude graduate of the Dual JD Program at the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law and the University of Detroit Mercy, School of Law. Initially, she joined Mathews Dinsdale as a summer student in our Toronto office.
During law school, Amanda was involved in mentoring first year law students and was a member of the Litigation Association. She was also the Team Lead for the Legal Writers Collective at Pro Bono Students of Canada and served as a student attorney for Detroit Mercy’s Intellectual Property Clinic.
Prior to obtaining her law degree, Amanda obtained her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto, where she graduated with distinction. During that time, she gained valuable experience working at one of Canada’s Tier One Banks.
On May 2, 2024, the Federal Court found that an investigation conducted into various allegations of workplace harassment and violence conducted by the Canadian Border Services Agency (“CBSA”) violated the principles of procedural fairness. As a result, the Court ordered a new investigation, using a different investigator.
