Profile

Tino returns to Mathews Dinsdale as an articling student after completing his Juris Doctor (J.D.) at the University of Ottawa. During law school, Tino took advantage of many opportunities to explore different fields of law while remaining committed to his student community. While developing his research, writing and presentational skills through courses such as Labour and Employment Law, Interviewing & Counselling and Alternative Dispute Resolution, Tino began cultivating a foundation of legal skills he hopes will allow him to make a difference in the profession. Throughout his program, Tino also acted as Communications Coordinator for the International Law Student’s Association (ILSA), Vice President of Internal Relations for the Italian Law Student’s Organization (ILSO), and Co-Chair of the Employment and Law Student Society (ELLSS). In addition, he served as a Wellness Mentor for first year students as part of the University of Ottawa’s Mindfulness program.

Prior to law school, Tino completed his Honours Bachelor of Arts at the University of Toronto. Before completing his undergraduate degree, Tino worked in various industries and became fascinated with the operation of different businesses and workplaces. These experiences included time in both the construction and floral design industries. It was here that he discovered how integral work is to one’s life, and the important role that labour and employment lawyers serve for their clients. Tino is also passionate about making a difference in his community, as evidence by his time spent volunteering in the MRI Department at Michael Garron Hospital and with the Lawyers Feed the Hungry Program. In his free time, Tino enjoys collecting vinyl records, watching the Pittsburgh Penguins, and cooking.
