Emily returns to Mathews Dinsdale as an articling student after completing her J.D. at Western Law. Throughout law school, Emily worked as a research assistant for Professor Richard H. McLaren. Additionally, she served as a co-chair of the Tax Law Association and as a case manager for the Sports Solution Clinic, as well as participating in multiple advocacy competitions. During her final year of law school, Emily took the opportunity to study abroad in the Netherlands at Radboud University, focusing on international immigration law and copyright law.

Prior to Law school, Emily earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts and Science degree with a major concentration in mathematics and a minor concentration in history from the University of Windsor. During the entirety of her undergraduate degree, Emily competed on the varsity volleyball team and in her final year was a captain. In addition, Emily worked as a lifeguard and a teaching assistant in the mathematics department.
