Biography
Osgoode Hall Law School, J.D.
University of Ottawa, Communication and Law
Joyce is an articling student and a recent JD graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School. Prior to articling, Joyce was a summer student in our Toronto office.
While at Osgoode, Joyce participated in the Intensive Program in Poverty Law at Parkdale Community Legal Services, working in the Workers’ Rights Division. She volunteered with organizations including Romero House and the Workers Action Centre, sharpening her understanding of workplace dynamics.
Joyce’s campus leadership involved serving as Co-President of Osgoode’s Middle Eastern and North African Law Students Association, Social Convener for the Legal & Literary Society, and a member of Osgoode’s Admissions Committee. She also serves as Vice-President – University Relations of Coptic Lawyers Canada and is active in the GTA’s Coptic community.
Prior to law school, Joyce earned a degree in Communication and Law from the University of Ottawa.
During her studies, Joyce founded and operated a cosmetology and aesthetics business, managing bookings, finances, and compliance. Her first-hand experience as a small business owner informs her pragmatic, business-minded approach to supporting employers.
