Hilary is an Associate with Mathews Dinsdale’s Toronto office. Focusing her developing practice on the areas of labour relations, wrongful dismissal, employment standards, human rights and accommodation, privacy, and workplace investigations, Hilary provides practical and proactive advice and skilled advocacy for employers in a wide range of industries. Hilary has represented employers in proceedings before boards of arbitration, the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal and the Ontario courts. She also regularly designs and delivers training to workplace parties, and presents and writes frequently on legal issues and developments of importance to clients and employer associations.
Hilary received her Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto in 2016. While at law school, Hilary was active in the law school’s mooting program as both a competitor and coach, and placed first in the Mathews Dinsdale & Clark National Labour Arbitration Competition in 2015.
Hilary was called to the Ontario Bar in 2017 after completing both our Articling and Summer programs.

Hilary Grice co-authored Practice Note on Topic Occupational Health and Safety: Overview, a detailed overview of Canadian occupational health and safety law and key legal issues for Carswell’s online Practical Law Canada publication.
